Day 1  12 October,   2011    Melbourne - Abu Dhabi - Cairo    Late evening departure from Melbourne via Abu Dhabi for our overnight flight to Cairo

Day 2  13 October, 2011    Cairo   We will be met at the Cairo International Airport and transferred to our hotel.  Accommodation:  Pyramids Park Intercontinental (or similar) 2 nights    Nestled in 25 hectares (62 acres) of lush gardens teeming with peacocks and pink flamingos, guests could spend days exploring the landscaped terraces and colossal free-form swimming pool here. The spacious rooms with all amenities overlook either the pool or garden and the Pyramids are just a stone's throw away.

Day 3  14 October, 2011   Cairo  (B)  This is a day to go back in time, starting with a visit to the most famous of the Egyptian sphinxes, the Great Sphinx of Giza, followed by the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops). Completed around 2600 BC, this pyramid was 146m (478ft) high and consisted of over 2 million limestone blocks weighing over 2 tons each. Next, we are off to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The Museum houses the world's greatest collection of Ancient Egyptian artefacts, including 12 rooms filled with golden treasures from the world-famous tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamen.

Day 4  15 October, 2011  Cairo - Luxor (B,L,D)  Morning transfer to the airport for our flight to Luxor and embarkation of our cruise ship M/S Mojito.  Lunch will be served on board and this afternoon we will  tour the East Bank of the Nile in Luxor and visit Karnak and Luxor temples. You will be transferred back to the Nile cruise ship for afternoon tea and dinner on board with overnight aboard the Nile cruise vessel in Luxor.     The M/S Mojito is a five star deluxe ship, 72.00 meters in length 14.20 meter wide it is one of the best 5* Deluxe cruises in Egypt that sails between Luxor and Aswan.  Each of the extra spacious staterooms offer an incredible 21 square meter of space. Day 5  16 October, 2011  Luxor - Edfu  (B,L,D)   Breakfast on board and then we will visit the West Bank of the River Nile in Luxor to the Valley of the Kings and Queens, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir EL Bahari and the Colossi Memnon with free time at leisure in Luxor for great shopping.  Transfer back to the cruise for lunch and afternoon tea while sailing to Edfu via Esna Lock dinner and overnight stay on board the Nile cruise vessel at Edfu.

Day 6  17 October, 2011  Edfu - Aswan  (B,L,D) After breakfast we will visit Horus Temple at Edfu then  sail to Kom Ombo with lunch on board the cruise.  We visit the Temple shared by the two Gods Sobek and Haroeris at Kom Ombo and then continue sailing to Aswan with dinner and overnight on board the Nile cruise ship in Aswan

Day 7  18 October, 2011 Aswan  (B,L,D)  After breakfast we  visit of the High Dam in Aswan, the Unfinished Obelisk and the majestic Philae temple with a visit to the Botanical garden by felucca.  Overnight in Aswan on board our ship

Day 8  19 October, 2011  Aswan - Abu Simbel - Cairo - Amman   
 Early morning transfer from our cruise ship to the airport and our flight to Abu Simbel Visit the temples of Ramses & Nefertary before returning to the airport and flight to Amman via Cairo.  Accommodation; Amman Marriott (or similar) 2 nights   Located in the beautiful Shmeisani area, the Amman Marriott hotel offers comfort and convenience to business and leisure travellers. Day 9  20 October, 2011  Amman - Jerash - Amman  (B)   Amman, the capital of Jordan, offers both the old and new. Our day tour starts with a visit to see the Roman Amphitheatre followed by the Citadel, the Archaeological Museum, and the beautiful King Abdullah Mosque. We will spend time at the local souq and visit the newly built exclusive area of Abdoun. Afterward we will go out of town to see the huge Roman site at Jerash where we will see the Triumphal Arch, the Hippodrome, the Temple of Zeus, the Forum, the mile long street of Columns, the Nymphaeum, the Temple of Artemis and the Viaduct Church.

Day 10  21 October, 2011  Amman - Petra (B) Petra is one of the most magnificent sites in the Middle East. After passing the main gate we embark on horseback to the entrance of the siq (canyon). We will have a guide to explain the sites, monuments, and history as we wander among the tombs, temples, water cisterns, the Roman Theater, street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, the massive Courthouse, Roman Street and Triumphal Arch, ending at Qasr Al-Bint.   Accommodation:  Marriott Petra (or similar) overnight     The Petra Marriot with its impressive views is 1,400 meters above sea level situated on the mountains edge and is a haven of peace and tranquility. The hotel is built with three adjoining wings on separate levels and offers spacious, tastefully decorated, comfortable rooms most of which have good views over the Great Rift Valley. All rooms have wireless internet access and Satellite television. The hotel has two restaurants, L’Affresco Italian Restaurant and Sushara serving International and Middle Eastern specialties.  Wadi Rum -  Amman  (B)   After breakfast depart Petra  to the land of the moon .  Wadi Rum was known as “Lawrence of Arabia land” and you will enjoy a safari and explore the desert for two hours by 4WD. Drive back to Amman for overnight.    Accommodation:  Amman Marriott (or similar) overnight

Day 12  23 October, 2011  Amman - Tiberias    (B)  Today we cross the Jordan River . Our staff helps with border formalities, after which we drive to Tiberias on the Sea of Galilee . Day 13  24 October, 2011  Galilee - Golan - Akko - Haifa (B)   Clamber into a jeep, because today we take a special drive in the Galilee. Afterwards we board our motorcoach and head north through the Valley of Genazaret to the ancient Galilee Synagogue in Capernaum , where Jesus preached. Then it's up into the Golan Heights and the dramatic landscape of Upper Galilee to Safed. Driving west, we reach Akko (Acre), the fortified Crusader town on the shores of the Mediterranean . Finally, we drive to Haifa to our hotel.  Accommodation:  Crowne  Hotel Haifa (or similar)  overnight   Our hotel is located atop Mount Carmel with an incredible view of the Mediterranean Sea & Haifa Bay.  Among the hotel's facilities are a health club with an indoor swimming pool, workout room and health bar.

Day 14  25 October, 2011  Haifa  - Beit Shean -  Jericho - Jerusalem (B)  The impressive domed Bahai Temple is our first goal this morning. We continue to Beit Shearim to view the remnants of an ancient Jewish village, then on to Beit Alpha to see its famous mosaic, and to Beit Shean to visit the remains of the major Roman city there. Following the Jordan River valley, we reach Jericho , perhaps the world's oldest city. Then drive up to Jerusalem to our hotel.   Accommodation:  King David (or similar) 4 nights The King David Jerusalem Hotel is the Israel's most famous hotel stands majestic, overlooking the Old City of Jerusalem. Day 15 26 October, 2011  Ancient Jerusalem - Bethlehem - Jerusalem (B)   During our introductory tour of the Old City , we visit the Western Wall, Dome of the Rock, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the Roman Cardo and the ancient Burnt House. We then pay a visit to Mt. Zion and King David's Tomb, followed by the short drive to Bethlehem to visit Rachel's Tomb and the Church of the Nativity, after which we return to Jerusalem for  overnight. 

  

Day 16  27 October, 2011 Modern Jerusalem (B)   Today we spend all day exploring modern Jerusalem, including the Knesset, Chagall Windows, Yad Vashem, Mount Herzl and the Israel Museum with its Shrine of the Book, housing the Dead Sea Scrolls. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 17  28 October, 2011  Dead Sea - Masada (B)  We descend by motorcoach to the lowest spot on earth, the Dead Sea . From the Dead sea shore we ascend by cable car to the top of Masada, the famous fortress where ancient Israelite rebels held off the legions of Rome . Then on to a Hotel for a chance to swim in the Dead Sea 's salt waters. Overnight in Jerusalem


Day 18 29 October, 2011  03 November, 2011  Jerusalem - Tel-Aviv  (B)  Today, we depart to visit Tel-Aviv. Free day to do some shopping. Overnight in Tel Aviv.  Accommodation: Dan Hotel (or similar) overnight
