Day 1

Arrive Broome Make your own way to Broome where
you will
be met and transferred to our hotel for 5 nights. Accommodation:
Rendezvous Sanctuary Resort (or similar) The
new Rendezvous Sanctuary Resort at Cable Beach is superbly located just
a short
walk from the pristine sands of Cable Beach, and just a 5 minute drive
from
Chinatown and the heart of Broome. Your spacious Studios room is
located
on the ground floor, and offer a kitchenette with sink, fridge,
microwave,
toaster and tea and coffee making facilities. This evening meet your fellow
travelling companions over dinner (own expense)
Day 2 19
May, 2008
Broome sightseeing After breakfast our orientation tour
of
Broome will explore the spectacular Broome peninsula, visiting special
locations
that will make your stay unforgettable. Relive the rich pearling history
and
multicultural heritage through wars and depression. You will visit
the
wide expanses of Cable Beach, the spectacular Gantheaume Point and
tropical
Deepwater Port. Experience the romance of Anastasia.s Pool. Discover the
ancient
Dinosaur Footprints and see the beautiful aqua waters and red cliffs on
Roebuck
Bay. We will learn the history behind the Japanese Cemetery and
visit Town
Beach, the site of the Japanese attack on Broome. Enjoy beer tasting at
Matso.s
Brewery. Visit the historic pearling home (Monsoon Gallery). Then
we'll
explore historic Chinatown including the grandeur of Sun Pictures and
the
fascinating Pearl Luggers Museum. This afternoon we will
take a camel
ride along the golden sands of Cable Beach. Evening is at
leisure.

Day
3
20 May, 2008 Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek
Discovery Early breakfast this
morning before our 6.40am departure from Broome in a luxury 4WD
vehicle.
We head north to Willare Bridge, crossing the Fitzroy River. Morning tea
will be
served at the Prison Boab Tree, used to house convicts in the
1880's. Also view
Myalls Bore, a 120m long trough; used in the 1900's to feed up to
1000 head of
cattle at one time. Travel away from the coast onto the Gibb River
Road.
Once used as the main stock route for the region, the road leads to many
incredible natural sights of the Kimberley. Turn off to Windjana Gorge
where you
can look out for freshwater crocodiles. Tunnel Creek is
next;
indulge your senses in a walk through the 750m flooded tube tunnel;
wading in
knee to thigh high water you will be told the story of Jandamarra. Be
sure to
bring shoes you don't mind getting wet! Enjoy
afternoon tea,
then it's back off towards Broome, arriving in the evening. A stop
will be made
on the journey where you may purchase something for dinner. Note:
Tour
includes walking on uneven ground and a rocky creek bed, please bring
appropriate footwear and a flashlight.

Day 4 21
May, 2008
Buccaneer Archipelago Air tour This half day tour takes
a
maximum of 6 passengers so half our group will tour in the morning with
afternoon at leisure and the remainder will have morning free and the
air tour
in the afternoon. After take off, fly over Broome and Cable Beach
heading
north across the Dampier Peninsula and King Sound to the amazing
Horizontal
Waterfalls. Circle this area in both directions allowing photo
opportunities.
Onto Talbot Bay Pearl Farm and then to the many islands of the Buccaneer
Archipelago, flying over the famous open-cut iron-ore mines at Koolan
and
Cockatoo Islands.
Landing at Cape Leveque enjoy light refreshments overlooking the Indian
Ocean.
Perhaps take a swim. The flight back to Broome is along the many
bays and
beaches of the Dampier Peninsula.s west coast, including Willie Creek
and the
famous Cable Beach.
Day 5 22 May, 2008
Day at leisure. Full day at leisure to relax, explore
the
township of Broome or take an optional tour.
Sitting on the
western
edge of the massive Kimberley region, Broome is the largest town in the
Kimberley in Australias North West. Broome is the outback oasis
where the
azure waters of the Indian Ocean laps salt white beaches and where
ancient
pindan cliffs dramatically change colour in the setting sun, going from
pink to
start red before your eyes. Broome is Cable Beach and ancient dinosaurs
footprints. Broome is resort-style accommodation; fragrant frangipani
and lazy
palm trees. Broome is a fusion of Australian and Asian architecture and
people.
Day 6 23 May, 2008 Tour ends this morning after breakfast with a transfer to the airport for your homeward flight. If you prefer to extend your stay in Broome or surrounds, we would be happy to book your extra accommodation and sightseeing requirements.

This tour must be booked prior to departure and subject to

Flying to
the Bungle
Bungle pass some of the best Kimberley attractions, Fitzroy
River and Geikie
Gorge. On arrival at the Bungle Bungles (or
Purnululu National
Park) we over-fly the entire massif orange striped and bee-hive
shaped rock
formations. After landing at the strip transfer to a 4WD vehicle
and drive
to Cathedral Gorge. After walking the length of Cathedral
Gorge, lunch
is served alongside a natural pool in the aptly named
cathedral-style
cavern. Departure from the Bungle Bungle is around
2.30pm with a
different direction flight routing on the return journey flying
over
Windjana Gorge.
Pick up time is 6.30am with arrival back in Broome approximately
5.30pm
